Van Dyken Mechanical provided the engineering and installation of all duct work & gas piping for West Michigan Beef Company’s new facility. Exhaust fans, air curtains, louvers, unit heaters, split systems, & rooftop units were installed, with a VAV system with boiler reheat for office areas with zone control.

Story

This 112,000 SF building appears as a one-story structure from the front but is actually two stories. Built on previously submerged land, it faced initial poor site conditions. A four-month delay in structural steel delivery didn’t alter the project schedule, demonstrating excellent teamwork. The building, designed for 5th and 6th graders, features numerous angles and no straight walls, posing additional challenges. Despite the tight schedule, NWK upheld high workmanship standards with a relatively young crew. Notably, the installation of two fire dampers per chase in confined spaces was particularly time-consuming. Additionally, the school includes a large snowmelt system.

This project was a complete renovation of the Boys & Girls Club of Muskegon. It ended up being two renovations in one due to fires set as the project was finishing. This caused the project to be completely redone. From devastating loss to triumphant salvation, the difficulties demonstrated resilience.

Olives restaurant underwent a six-week renovation, transforming both floors. The update included refreshed dining areas and restrooms, with the first floor also receiving a revamped bar area. Pioneer Millwork provided expert millwork and finishes, while Jean Stoffer of “The Established Home” on the Magnolia Network led the sophisticated design.
