Putting Together a Giant Puzzle: The project team was challenged with assembling and suspending an immense weight of specialized beef processing equipment. West Michigan Beef imported a piece of one-of-a-kind beef equipment from the Netherlands. Borrowing the concept they implemented for another local food producer, the team custom-built the equipment support system from secondary steel.

Story

The New Holland Brewing Battle Creek location includes an inviting outdoor beer garden that seamlessly integrates with the existing brick structure of the main building. Situated in the heart of Battle Creek, coordinating deliveries and staging materials posed logistical challenges due to the limited space. The team had to use an off-site laydown area as they couldn’t stage much within the building footprint. The building itself showcases beautiful architectural finishes, including a standing seam roof and a ceiling liner panel.

This project had its challenges with tight working spaces due to the location, number of different mortar and brick colors and arches.
