Story

Using masonry for all its worth! Eight-foot structural CMU created a two-hour firewall between the CTI tower and the adjacent hotel. Over 187,000 bricks in a variety of sizes and unique patterns helped create a beautiful, lasting exterior that will stand the test of time.

The work completed on this project included stair and elevator shafts, brick veneer, precast, and a fancy thin brick accent in the restaurant. All of the best were on site to complete the work, from the manpower to the equipment to the suppliers and materials.

Story

Located within the restricted AOA of Gerald R. Ford International Airport, this project required careful coordination, especially for concrete and asphalt work. Close proximity to the runway and collaboration with the FAA and Air Traffic Control added complexity. Despite challenges, the project was completed on time and on budget.

Advantage Millwork supported this project, which had the concept noted as “one judge, one family,” by manufacturing and fabricating all the cabinetry, countertops, wood trim, and wood veneer panels.  The efforts of these craftsman will be seen for years to come in this great facility!
