Kent helped transform Lyon Square as part of Grand Rapids’ effort to reconnect downtown to the Grand River. The entire project covered 90,000 SF, it began in the fall and continued through the winter months. Besides, most of the walls were tall, radiused, and had multiple elevations, difficult to form. The freezer floors were placed on insulation and had hardener broadcast into the surface. The team was challenged by ten different USDA curb wall section details, totaling over half a mile in length.
