WINNER: West Ottawa Public Schools – Performing Arts Center

Story

This project has many unique and custom materials that required special attention to detail from design to installation. The scope included designed and engineered sound walls, specialty ceiling materials, and high ceiling radius drywall clouds to enhance the overall acoustics of the performance hall. To meet the desired outcome, but within budget, the clouds were pre-fabricated ahead of time and lifted into place with equipment- eliminating the need for scaffolding. The sound walls were also all precut drywall with a template and carefully placed onto each face of the wall. Great care and consideration had to be given to scheduling so as not to impact the daily activities ongoing in the adjoining high school.
